Very cozy housing for me and some friends for a ski trip weekend! The hot tub was a perfect amenity and the kitchen helped cook a few good meals at night.

Amenities were in good condition. Place was cozy and quiet for a mountain stay.

Great cabin tucked away between two spring fed creeks. The last mile to the house is a very well graded and maintained dirt road that is easy to navigate as long as there is no snow. Really enjoyed the delicious spring fed water supplying the house. The property manager was extremely responsive and came to shovel and plow the foot of snow we got during our stay. There is a great selection of DVDs to watch at the house and the hot tub worked well. My only complaint is the house smelled a bit musty which may have been due to ice damming.

Awesome place to stay close to hiking and the slopes. We loved everything about it and would definitely stay again in the future. Was great to unplug, relax, and enjoy the hot tub and gave the feeling of being away.

Overall the property was amazing! My only complaints were the house smelled musty and there were some cobwebs. There were also hairs in the bathtub. It also would’ve been nice to have some basic hygiene amenities. But the property was lovely and peaceful. We would recommend!

This is such a cute little, mostly private, cabin. Our visit was in the beginning of spring, the trees hadn't filled in yet, so there were a few houses visible from the front. The cabin was still winterized with plastic on the windows, so when we walked in, it was a bit stuffy, but after turning on all the fans, it became comfortable. The only real issue we had, was when we went to make the bed. The sheets that were left for us were dirty with dog hair all over them. Luckily there is a washer and dryer, plus detergent, and I was able to wash them. As soon as I put them in the washer, I sent a message to the rental company and got a return message within 25 minutes, including a refund on the linen service. they also offered to bring other sheets, but I declined that since I was already washing the others. Overall this a beautiful cabin with an amazing view, including a small creek. The hot tub was wonderful. We definitely recommend this cabin.

Each year we buy our daughters a ski trip for Christmas. This was the first year we were able to bring our dog AND have a hot tub. Super location, tucked away between some streams...not too far away from ski mountains. It worked out really well. Thanks for sharing the home.

The property is in a beautiful secluded setting near Forbes State Forest. Beware if GPS tries to take you in on Laurel Tunnel Road off of route 31, all dirt road and very confusing; instead take Short School Road off route 31. The cottage was cozy and the gas fireplace kept the place warm. The hot tub was nice. The toilet occassionally needed the plunger to flush out. The house was relatively clean, but could use a deep cleaning (lots of dead bugs on the windowsills, even on day of arrival). The outdoor seating area is beautiful and 4 large chairs are provided, although one had a broken seat and we had to clean a layer of dirt off of the chairs, even on day of check in. All in all, we recommend the property as the surrounding forest and quiet can't be beat.

Adorable property in a quiet and relaxing setting. We loved every minute of our stay. Only issue is zone 2 of the hot tub seems to not be working.

Loved this cabin. Bedding was soft and comfy. Loved how quiet it was and the stream in the back yard. Loved the little special touches like granola bars and waters. I’d love to stay here again! It was really cozy! Excellent place!

This house even better than advertised! We stayed the weekend with our two dogs and had a great time! The house sits in between multiple streams giving a panoramic view of mountain beauty. There were waterfalls all around us an adorable pond in the front of the house. The decor is updated and tasteful. The gas fireplace is a an excellent touch. The hot tub is newer and very clean. The Smart television is new and there is also a DVD player with a selection of DVD’s. The hosts were helpful and accommodated a late check out. Thank you! We arrived during a heavy rain and had some trouble in the driveway. Stay away from the edges, even in 4-wheel drive. (Not their fault! Record breaking rain this year!). Otherwise a perfect trip! We will definitely be back!

Area and views were beautiful, the place was cozy and rustic, running water could be heard the entire time with several creeks nearby. Bed comfy, heat worked good, and a great place to relax. Kitchen could use some love and utensils to cook with, but overall very satisfying stay. Hot tub was superb!

The property was very nice. Wish there would have been some snow but no one can control Mother Nature. Hot tub was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Having a bonfire in the middle of the woods at this cabin felt like paradise. Also, sitting in the hot tub and staring at the stars was a really magical experience. We had a great time here!

We loved watching the breeze in the trees from the excellent hot tub. Lots of comfy seating inside and out. The creek was lovely. Kitchen pretty well stocked.

This place was cozy, clean, and so much fun. In the summer it’s hidden away in the trees with the streams giving relaxing sounds. The hot tub was size-able and clean. We will definitely go back again. A true getaway!

This was our 4th or 5th stay at this property and we were pleasantly surprised to see lovely new furniture and a cohesive new setup! (The listing photos are accurate - I just didn’t look that closely, whoops.) The cabin is always clean and comfortable, great secluded location but easy access to parks and the PA Turnpike. Can’t wait for our next visit.

The area was so pretty! At night all you’d hear were the sounds of nature while sitting in the hot tub or by the fire. Inside it was very clean and cozy. It definitely felt like a home. We’ll definitely be back in the future!

The surroundings of the property were beautiful with the woods and streams nearby. There are other properties nearby but far enough away for privacy and quiet. The fire pit and hot tub were both very nice additions and my wife and I used both. A good place for a quiet getaway and the property is only 25 minutes from Somerset. Internet service is very slow if you want to check weather or local attractions on your phone or laptop and the TV service was also frequently choppy as well. Property owners do provide some DVDS however if you're inside due to the rain or just want to chill. Overall a cute place to stay for a quiet weekend.

Holtheim Hideaway is an absolute gem!!! The property is in an amazing location so peaceful and serene. The house/cabin is so clean fresh and inviting your time inside the cabin is so relaxing with all the great amenities and everything was so well maintained and clean it was so nice. The linens were clean and fantastic. We took use of the hot tub but peaked inside the water was clean warm and so inviting for a nice relaxing soak. No doubt in my mind we will be back for regular stays in this amazing rental.

Peaceful. Beautiful. Just all around quiet, and a lovely little piece of Pennsylvania. An amazing get away, and an awesome maintenance man! Cozy, and quaint! Perfect for relaxing! Must have 4 wheel drive, as its off a beaten path in the middle of no where. It felt like my Suburban was going rock climbing, haha. My husband, and I had a blast just hanging out in the wilderness. I will definitely return in the Spring, or maybe early November this year before the snow! Thank you so much for such an elegant/fancy stay!

The atmosphere of Holtheim hideaway is peaceful. The cabin was clean and provided almost every amenity you would need. Full kitchen, kitchen ware, blender, toaster oven, Keurig, coffee pot...hot tub was large and views are to die for. We had to reach out to the management of the property due to a fallen tree on the road leading to the property and his response was timely and impressive. If you want an escape from everyday chaos- this is the place for you!!

This was a wonderful weekend getaway! Very peaceful and beautiful. We were outside most the time, loved the hot tub it was very clean. It’s beautiful inside as well. I would go back!

The location was great, the house was great, the hot tub was great. The only problem was that there was no hot water in the shower. There was hot water in both sinks but not in the shower, lukewarm at best. We contacted the property manager the next day. He said he “would talk to the boss man” and let us know. We never heard from anyone. We’d like to book future stays here but not if we can’t confirm that we can take hot showers.

Nice, simple cabin. Bathroom is nicely remodeled. Hot tub worked like a champ and was new. Gas fire place was great. Location is somewhat remote as the last 3 miles are on a dirt road. We were 30 minutes from Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. The local ski resorts and Ohiopyle were even closer. Neighbor cabins are visible from the cabin but far enough away that you have privacy. the management company was great and responsive. The pictures show chairs outside but none were available for us to use on the deck or around the fire pit. Towels and linens were old and thin. One towel had a hole in it the size of quarter - for the price I expected better. They have internet but don't want you to use it other than for 5-10 minutes a day to search for local things to do or points of interest which was disappointing and not clearly indicated in the listing. I have stayed in many cabins for rent so I have some perspective and I would give this one a 3+ stars for the price you pay.

My Husband, myself and our dog spent a couple days unwinding at this charming cottage in the woods. It is off the beaten path, quiet and so very pretty when 8 inches of snow decides to fall. The hot tub was an absolute plus even with the cold temperatures. I highly recommend booking a stay here. The rental was very clean and had everything we needed to relax and reboot.

I can't say enough great things about this charming cottage! It was just what we needed. Everything was perfect when we got there and it was so secluded and quiet we slept like babies! We are already talking about booking a winter vacation ! Oh don't let me forget to mention the hot tub, it was heavenly!

I could not wait to leave a review for this cabin! We only stayed for a quick weekend away but hope to return for longer! The owners have thought of everything to make it your little respite in the forest, hope people treat it like their own. It is remote but we spent one day at Laurel Highlands State Park and another day in Ohio Pyle. We loved the beautiful drive. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

This cabin was just adorable and the setting was just what my boyfriend and I needed. The house was clean with all the amenities you need- and a hot tub as an added bonus. We loved this getaway and are already planning our next trip back!
