This home sits directly across from the renown CW Klay winery and is walking distance to the Ridge Runner Distillery, Big Dawgs Six Pack Shop and Chalk Hill Market.
THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 2000 FEET ELEVATION. YEAR ROUND WE RECOMMEND 4WD/AWD VEHICLES. IN THE WINTER, WE DO PLOW; HOWEVER, GUESTS SHOULD ABSOLUTELY HAVE A 4WD/AWD VEHICLE TO STAY HERE FROM NOV 1-MARCH 31!
Security: For the safety or our guests and the protection of the property against criminal activity, all guests understand that, at a minimum, there is a “Blink” security camera type located at the front and rear entrance to monitor access/egress and driveway areas. Security cameras are in use 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
Guests should not remove, disturb, modify or damage any part of the onsite security system. IF this occurs it will result in the loss of security deposit or added charges, which ever applies.

Great location across the street from the Christian W Klay Winery and Ridge Runner distillery. Clean and comfortable house with nice fireplace and hot tub!

We loved this place! Right next to the winery, close to everything but still secluded. The house was clean, the hot tub and other amenities were amazing. They worked with our schedule and messaging them was easy. We plan on making this trip a yearly thing!

Great property! We really enjoyed our stay. We had kids and the yard space was great. The bathrooms are tight, but doable. Everything else fit our needs.

This was our second time staying at the chalet. The listing is accurate and the property is clean and peaceful. We walked to the Christmas Shop, the meat market, the winery and the distillery next door. Other attractions and food options are a short drive away. Would highly recommend.

My kids thought this house was so cool. They loved the hot tub and the big yard to play in. Proximity to winery was amazing. Would stay here again.

Place is good but shower is too short for anyone over 6', low ceiling. Hot tub was in need of a good clean. Loud music next door. I'd rate a 7..
Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback on the property! Yes, it is true the shower has a low ceiling. The hot tub was cleaned prior to your stay, so we will have our team look into this. The house is right next to a brewery and winery that have live music on the weekends, so this is what you were hearing. Many guests enjoy it, but if you are not looking for that experience we would recommend staying elsewhere. -
We have rented this property for a number of years, and we love it. We will be back again. Close to everything we want to do.

This is the cutest property, and the location is perfect! It’s right between a winery and a distillery. There are also food choices within walking distance. The hot tub and fire pit are icing on the cake. (The chairs by the fire pit need to be cleaned, but it’s a small detail that’s easily fixed). We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect property and location for Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, and Polymath. Ohiopyle was an added bonus.

So the property was where we needed. Nice and clean. Everything closes at like 7 pm. Everything! The winery, the restaurants, closed at 7 pm. What winery closes at 7 pm on a Saturday?

Spent 4 nights and had a peaceful, relaxing time. House is cozy and close to a variety of things to do. This area of PA is beautiful. Enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed a short family getaway weekend, the property was well maintained, comfortable and convenient, while being secluded enough to enable us to enjoy the quiet. The winery and distillery were nice, the fire pit and hot tub made the weekend great. Thanks!

This is a lovely house for a family getaway to the Ohiopyle area. The kitchen is well stocked, the downstairs living-dining areas are large &comfortable, &the patios are nice for enjoying nature. Our issues fall in 2 categories: accurateness of description and service. Regarding the description - there is not a futon in the upstairs common area, but a 2-seat couch (loveseat). It may be a pullout bed, we didn't check. Also, there is no charcoal grill as stated but a propane one. So, we wasted money buying charcoal and starter fluid. About the service - no towels were left out in the bedrooms or bathroom. We had to write the property manager to find them and were told to look behind a mirror or in the dryer. In addition, the beds were not made but just had a duvet covering the mattress. No sheets or pillowcases. The sheets were in a basket on top of the dresser. So, when we went to turn in late at night, we had to make the beds. Upon pointing these things out to the property manager, his reply was simply that he would let the owners know. No apology or recognition that these things should have been done. A final thing that flabbergasted us, given that we already had the house rules, is that upon entering there's a framed note on the counter instructing guests to put towels & sheets into the washer & run it. Given how much we paid per night we felt that was inappropriate. No welcome note but more chores for us. Oh, & we couldn't get the washer to start anyhow.

A few things to note from your detailed review: The couch in the common area has been replaced with one that differs from the photos. We will update the listing photos, but, being that they both function the same we did not think a separate note needed to be sent about it prior to your arrival. The grill, however, is accurately photographed in the listing photos. It is a propane grill and the tank is provided! As for the towels/linen service, the towels are provided in the bathroom closet and the sheets are in baskets by each bed. This “beach style” type of linen service is very common among vacation rentals, as it lets the guest know that the sheets have been washed and are clean for use. It is true we have a framed note for guests about the sheets and towels for departure. We do not require guests to wash the sheets and towels when they leave, rather, we kindly ask that they load them into the washer and start it if they are able to before checking out. It is not mandatory, so, not part of the house rules. Lastly – the washing machine is in working condition. For any home system issues during a guest stay, we do provide our local operations manager contact information for assistance. -

Spacious with 1 bedroom on the main floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs. We had a marvelous time chilling in the hot tub while the snow fell. Then hurried in to sit in front of the gas fireplace. Clean, warm and centrally located.

5 sisters ranging in age from 84 to 78. They had a great time despite cold weather. Cabin was cozy and comfortable. Nice location near winery and Ohiopyle.

Great location, roomy upstairs, only negatives for us were no dishwasher and the second bathroom was not a full bathroom.

Our family had a great time staying at this property. Everything was accurate from the listing. We enjoyed a relaxing 2 nights close to Ohiopyle, sitting by a bonfire and soaking in the hot tub. Checking in and out was smooth. The place was clean and sleep accommodations fit our family well. All basic needs were met and we look forward to staying here again in the near future.
