We take the work of providing amazing guest experiences very seriously. You might be surprised how much thought goes into building and designing great properties, inspecting properties, visiting before a guest stay and constantly tweaking properties so our guests can simply enjoy their guest stays. But, having that perfect getaway does not include just us. Having an amazing guest experience is a skill of the traveler.
It’s always been amazing to me how little time guests sometime seemingly take when booking a property and planning either a weekend or weekly stay at a property. Lots of hard earned money goes into any getaway. Unfortunately, lots of people simply glance at a listing, scan lease agreements, and give just a casual read of property rules and other important details.
Wanna know the single MOST important thing you can do to ensure a great experience? It’s not rocket science. It’s definitely not sexy! It is READING!Â
I know. I know…how “get off my lawn” that might sound; but, it’s definitely true. Whether it is reviewing a listing, reading guest communication emails, check out procedures, house rules taking the time to read—carefully–is by far and away the most important thing a guest can do to have a great experience. Sure that’s means reading without distractions, sometimes not reviewing documents on a 3 inch smart phone screen, and often just thinking “there must be a reason why” they are sending this to me.Â
Almost every sentence, listing description, amenity (does it exist or does it not) and guest arrival detail that is published or otherwise sent to a guest has been written to address some guest question that has cropped up over the years. And by the way, if after you have read something from us and still have a question–great–we are here for you–just ask! We are happy to clarify.Â
