Winter Activities near Satori Cottage

With the holidays just about wrapping up, there is no better time to get away than now. At Satori Cottage, guests are greeted with a quiet atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. Complete with a walking path, a hot tub, and a small patio, this Latrobe property is perfect for any post-holiday relaxation.

Within a short drive from the property is Kitchen on Main, located in the Ligonier Diamond. This restaurant uses local ingredients and makes everything fresh from scratch. From delicious brunch options such as benedicts and omelets to dinner entrees such as short ribs and salmon, Kitchen on Main serves up delectable dishes all day and has something for every palate. 

 

In addition to mouth-watering dishes, Kitchen on Main has a shop called The Pantry. This shop has products from local vendors, charcuterie boards, a full-service cocktail bar, smoothies, and more. This is a perfect addition to your stay at Satori Cottage for taking home locally made products or snacks after your meal. 

 

During the day, many other local shops are open in the Ligonier Diamond for guests to further explore the area. Shops include Song of Sixpence, a women’s clothing store, On the Diamond Antiques, Quacked Glass Studio, and Post & Rail Men’s Shop. Some holiday decor may still be displayed through the new year before the Ice Fest in and around the shops.

 

In late January, the Ligonier Diamond will filled with various ice sculptures for their annual Ligonier Ice Fest. Local artists showcase their artistic skills through ice sculptures during the Ice Fest. Also, guests can go on a horse-drawn carriage ride during the event, warm up with some freshly made kettle corn, and even see live ice sculpting.
